ThreeStoogesPictureIt seems every generation attempts to take refuge in the solace of nostalgia. In film, this is quite common, most recently with the resurgence of vampires. War Horse Review

Written by Paula Logozzo. Posted in Movies

WarHorseReleased on Christmas day, War Horse is Steven Spielberg's new epic film about a boy whose father purchased an expensive racehorse to work as a plow horse on the family farm in WWI England. The boy trains the horse to do the impossible and manages to plow the entire field with this dainty horse, Joey. When the family can no longer afford to keep paying the rent because of a bad farming season, the boy's father sells Joey to the military, sending him off on a journey that takes him through countless hands, countries, and all sides of the war. Sounds glorious, eh? Not so fast.
